[924] 4* Pittsburgh Pirates G#1 +130 | Action | Duke | 12:35p ET
Playing for a split in Pittsburgh this afternoon. Pitt have won first 2 games of series, 5 straight games and 8 of their L12. Meanwhile, Atlanta continue to struggle on the road (4-13). Braves start Jurrjens has been solid this season but still is young and vunerable for a setback anytime. Pitt start Duke is coming off two straight quality starts (14.1 IP, 5 R allowed). In addition, Key left-handed bats McLouth (.315, 9 HR, 29 RBI) and Ryan Doumit (.340, 5 HR) should be back in lineup vs. Jurrjens and Hudson. Plus, Adam LaRoche is showing signs of breaking out of his early season slump. Would be very suprised if Pirates don't get a split this afternoon. If Pirates win G#1 we recommend you pass on G#2.
[926] 4* Cleveland Indians -1.5 +155 | Burnett | Carmona | 4:05p ET
Looking for a big payout in Cleveland this afternoon. Toronto bats have been silenced L10 games and most of season (1 run scored first 2 games in series). Meanwhile, Indians have tallied 18 runs in first two games vs. McGowan & Halladay. Toronto start Burnett has been lit up his last two visits to Cleveland (12 IP, 18 H, 9 BB, 13 R). Cleveland start Carmona looks to be on his game again and Indians have rested and better pen. Believe RL worth a shot in this situation.
[911] 4.5* Houston Astros TEAM OVER 4 +105 | Oswalt | Zito | 10:15p ET
Houston coming off sweep in Los Angeles and have won 8 of their L9 games. Astros have scored 4 plus runs in 11 of their L12 games and 5 plus runs in 10 of L12 games. Giants start Zito has yet to win this year and opponents have scored 4 plus runs in 6 of his 7 starts this season and 5 plus runs in 5 of his 7 starts. Zito, 6.95 ERA on season; 11.57 ERA his L3 starts. Houston hitting .325 vs. lefties their L10 games.
[516] 4* Cleveland Cavaliers -125 | 7:15p ET
Still not convinced Boston are the better team home or away. In first two games in Boston, Cleveland couldn't make shots and eventually Boston garnered the momentum to game 1 & 2 victories. Nevertheless, despite poor play, Cleveland had a chance to win G#1 and looked like the better team in first quarter of G#2, until team and LeBron couldn't make a shot the rest of the game. A pathetic performance. In game #3, Cavs dominated at home despite LeBron's continued shooting woes (bench & role players stepped up big). Now believe LeBron may have weathered his shooting slump with one win behind him and now G#2 at home. Cleveland have much better bench and it showed on Saturday and I'm expecting another big game out the role players again tonight (role players, bench normally step up at home). Not to mention, Boston have lost all 4 playoff games on road this season and the Big 3, Garnett, Pierce & Allen really haven't been in this position that often (in career). In contrast, King James rallied a less talented team all the way to the NBA Finals last season. My money is on LeBron, home court and another solid performance by Cavs role & bench players tonight. Play Cleveland -125 on the moneyline.
